         Cette chanson a été écrite à Seignosse en juillet 2001. Le texte et la musique m'ont été inspirés par l'Ecume des jours de Boris Vian.
On retrouve ainsi ce monde surréaliste où la petite souris de la cuisine montre au propriétaire que l'homme se perd dans son ignorance et à quel point le monde autour de lui ne tourne pas rond.

A mouse in your kitchen
Is reading a cookery book.
It shows you the recipe
Every morning
But there's a ray of light
Which pricks your eyes every time.

You pick it and give it to the mouse.
You pick it and give it to light the house.

The broken glass is growing again
Like a water-lily.
It is closing the room
To keep clouds eating your sun.
He's coming asleep<
Telling a story to the stairs,
But they cannot hear
Under their wool jacket.

Watch them,
Linked to their shrinking mind.
Watch them,
Choked by their painful fog.

They spend most of their time obscuring it
Because light troubles them.
